Scope: The Business Development Manager drives sales of hosted communications products. This role is responsible for acquiring new customers, generating leads, and building relationships with prospects. They may also sell to defined customers with quotas for new revenue growth and/or product line growth, provide prospective customers with all services offered, work with customers to create solutions for their needs, and consult throughout the sales process. Responsible for onboarding new customers and driving customer relationships at a strategic level. Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales and increase revenue. They will model the appropriate behavior regarding Optus’ Core Values and Code of Ethics Policies and support Optus’ team approach to Quality.
Responsibilities:- Entering project orders
- Process RMA equipment returns for warranty advance replacements and/or account credits.
- Assist with periodic inventories and cycle counting.
- Proficient in using Accounting Seed & Salesforce to accomplish all respective duties
- Follow all processes and procedures
- Other duties or tasks as assigned by Supervisor
Direct supervision over --- None
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
- 5+ years of experience in new business development; 2-3 years of which was in the telecom or tech industry
- To be successful, the candidate must be a self-starter, driven with a good work ethic
- Up to 75% travel

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Occasional travel to offsite customer locations as needed. Ability to read, write, and communicate both orally and written to external and internal customers and employees. Normal vision and normal hearing with or without correction. Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs. periodically throughout workday. Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, sit in one place, squat, and kneel continuously throughout day. Ability to reach, bend, and twist continuously throughout day. Ability to use hands for gripping and squeezing, as well as repetitive hand and wrist motions. Ability to work together effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
