This is a new role that will pay $15.00 to $16.00 per hour, depending on experience.

In this role, you will support the purchasing and distribution departments, performing customer service and data entry.

Scope:  The Customer Service / Data Entry Clerk at Optus is responsible for providing support by entering orders, tracking order status and updating the customer, researching the availability of products, providing pricing on parts for customers, and performing other customer service and data entry functions as requested. 


Responsibilities:

  • Entering project orders/sales engineering requests
  • Process RMA equipment returns for warranty advance replacements and/or account credits.
  • Assist with periodic inventories and cycle counting.
  • Proficient in using Accounting Seed & Salesforce to accomplish all respective duties
  • Follow all processes and procedures
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by Supervisor

Requirements:
  • High School Degree or Equivalent required. 
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and some computer and data entry experience is also required.  Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
  • Previous shipping/receiving/inventory control experience preferred. 
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and able to demonstrate excellent customer service and have strong verbal communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and great organizational habits. 
  • This position requires the successful candidate to be able to multi-task, work within externally developed deadlines, and respond promptly and efficiently to change.
  • Must protect the integrity of Optus inventory and materials from loss, harm, and inaccuracy
  • Strive to be an active and valuable team member striving to achieve QPCCS (quality, productivity, collaboration, cost, and safety)


Physical Demands/Working Conditions: 
Occasional travel to offsite customer locations as needed. Ability to read, write, and communicate both orally and written to external and internal customers and employees. Normal vision and normal hearing with or without correction. Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs. periodically throughout workday. Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, sit in one place, squat, and kneel continuously throughout day. Ability to reach, bend, and twist continuously throughout day. Ability to use hands for gripping and squeezing, as well as repetitive hand and wrist motions. Ability to work together effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
